This area was just a dead tree in 2019 when we moved in. We routed some of our greywater to it, planted a tiny piece of coral vine that quickly shot up into a gorgeous mess of flowers and bees, and have been adding other plants and seeds as they come into our lives.
In 2024, the wind finally knocked down the dead tree. We'll leave it there to be part of the ecosystem. But our coral vine needed something to climb, so Miguel put up two cattle panel arches.
The coral vines quickly started to climb.
Then a tornado came and a tree squashed the arches a bit.
But we propped them back up and it didn’t take long for the coral vines to engulf them. It’s getting wild over here! 🙂
